I prefer my cocktails more refined than the uniformly messy versions of mojitos served throughout the United States these days. Why on earth would I want a muddled mess of an alcoholic slushy? I am way too vain to run around with bits of mint in my teeth and you should be too. Try this recipe for an embarrassment free mojito experience.

1/2 ounce of simple syrup
1 ounce lime

Mint Sprig
Glassware
12 oz double old fashioned glass

Suggestions
If you have access to actual cane juice freshly crushed substitute equal about of cane juice for the simple syrup.
